Ryan Rosenthal is continuing his life long career in the marine industry that has spanned over 20 years to date, covering numerous markets.  His career began at the Minnetonka Boat Works in Wayzata, MN, which at the time, was one of the Midwest’s largest fresh water marina.  Ryan worked in the capacity of dock master at the marina – full-time in the summer high season, and part-time during the school year.  This introduction provided Ryan with his initial passion for this industry. 

By the time Ryan had graduated high school in 1990, he began working on piloting commercial charter, party, and dinner cruise boats in the Twin Cities markets.  In 1993, Ryan was the youngest person in the state of Wisconsin to successfully pass the test for his U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License.  Ryan used this license to manage and operate a dinner cruise vessel on Lake Michigan, in Milwaukee, WI.  After ten years of safe and successful operations, the business expanded to include the management of 100 passenger dinner cruise yacht and repeat dinner cruise business, along with a sports bar, bowling center and banquet facility.  
	
While managing this successful retail operation, Ryan also acted as a consultant and designer for the new dinner cruise boat that was built in Florida for the existing business in Wisconsin.  The brand new 57’ dinner cruise motor yacht “Falcon IV” was successfully delivered and implemented 1998.  

In addition to these activities, Ryan also spent time delivering multi-million dollar yachts from the northeast United States to locations in Florida via the North Atlantic Ocean.  In 2002, Ryan left the cruise and restaurant operation in order to pursue opportunities focusing his expertise on the marina and real estate opportunities within the maritime industry.

Ryan is currently the Managing Partner at Gaslight Pointe Marina as well as a marina development consultant and Director of Sales for The Landings Marina in Two Rivers, WI and at RiverPlace Marina & Yacht Club in Green Bay, WI.  In addition, Ryan formed Port Star, Inc. which is a company that acts as a development and area market consultant, handling all sales and marketing for the marinas with whom the company has working agreements.

Ryan and his wife Dana and their dog Reagan currently reside in Milwaukee, WI.  They all have a passion for boating, and love to spend time on and around the water.
